This Opinel Slim Line Olive No10 knife is a high quality and elegant knife, presented in a beautiful pencil box with a sheath included!
The Slim Line range is based on Opinel’s traditional elements such as the round handle and the rotating lock but includes a slimmer, more elegant profile. Its flexible and thin 10cm blade is carefully sharpened on a diamond wheel to get a razor-sharp cut. The blade is made with Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel, which is anti-corrosive and requires no special maintenance. Its high carbon content gives this knife an excellent cutting edge. The Olive wood handle is is often used in high-end furniture and specialty wood items. The colour tends to deepen with age and the wood is sometimes figured with curly or wavy grain. Opinel knives are characterised by their Virobloc Safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
Ideal for filleting a fish, slicing thinly or as a pocketknife to take everywhere, the Slim Line knife is for those who want a fine, delicate and clean cut. This set makes a great gift, whether to yourself or a friend or family member!
