Typhoon-15N Black Micarta, Black hunting and outdoor knife with classic lines with a fixed blade of full tang construction, from Spanish company Muela. Made of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, Micarta composite handle. Artfully crafted, ideal for collectors, hunting enthusiasts, people who appreciate an active lifestyle.
X50CrMoV15 (1.4116) - molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon, martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Used in the manufacture of knives, high-end cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a fairly high, for stainless steels, hardness of 56-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel is enriched by doping 15.0% chromium (Cr), 0.80% molybdenum (Mo), 0.20% vanadium (V).
Blade - with a modified Clip Point profile, covered with a black protective coating. Plain type blade, derived with a hollow grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Notched thumb rest (ramp) on the back of the blade. Finger Choil profiled undercut for the index finger between the Handle and the cutting edge makes it easier to control the knife. The low descending line of the Blade creates a mini Guard to protect the hand from slipping on the blade.
Handle - profiled provides excellent grip while working. Grips made of Micarta composite, a practically indestructible material insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. The protruding part of the tanto can be used as an improvised glass striker, it also has a hole for threading a safety cable.
Sheath - hand-stitched, made of top quality cowhide and Cordura with embossed manufacturer's logo. The edges of the case are stitched with decorative thread. Fastened with a Prym type snap fastener. The belt attachment allows you to carry the knife in an upright position.
