QuikClot Combat Gauze is a professional haemostatic dressing designed to help control severe, life-threatening bleeding when direct pressure alone may not be sufficient. Trusted by military personnel, tactical medics, emergency responders and trauma professionals, it is intended for wound packing in compressible haemorrhage where rapid bleeding control is critical.
The sterile, Z-folded nonwoven gauze is impregnated with kaolin, a naturally occurring inorganic mineral that activates Factor XII to accelerate the body's normal clotting process. Unlike earlier generations of haemostatic products, the kaolin formulation is non-exothermic, meaning it does not generate heat during use. The compact vacuum-sealed package features eight tear points for fast access, while an integrated X-ray detectable strip assists with identification during ongoing medical treatment.
