The Helle Jegermester is a substantial Norwegian hunting and outdoor knife designed for demanding cutting work, including the butchering of big game. Its relatively thin 135 mm blade provides useful cutting length without making the knife unnecessarily bulky, while the substantial curly birch handle is suited to medium and larger hands. A brass guard provides separation between the hand and blade, and the genuine leather pouch sheath provides a traditional means of carrying the knife.

About the 12C27 Steel
The Jegermester uses 12C27 stainless steel, a single-layer knife steel developed by Swedish steelmaker Alleima, formerly Sandvik. Helle describes 12C27 as a tough, stain-resistant steel capable of handling heavy use and specifies a hardness of 59–60 HRC. Helle also notes that 12C27 can be used with a firesteel when the knife has a suitable 90-degree spine. For the Jegermester, the steel provides a practical combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and edge performance for a hunting and outdoor knife.
The Jegermester combines a substantial handle and useful 135 mm blade with traditional Norwegian materials and construction. Its 12C27 stainless steel blade, curly birch handle, brass guard and genuine leather pouch sheath make it a practical choice for hunting, camp work and other demanding outdoor cutting tasks.
