Tern G-10 Black Slipit - Plain Blade by BYRD
The BYRD Tern G-10 Black SLIPIT is a compact folding pocket knife designed for everyday cutting tasks and general outdoor use. Its plain-edge blade and slim profile make it suitable for opening packages, cutting cord and handling other routine jobs around camp, at work or while travelling.
The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and features a full-flat grind for practical cutting performance. The black G-10 handle scales provide a textured grip, helping you maintain control when using the knife. A deep finger choil allows you to position your index finger closer to the cutting edge for added control during detailed work.
The Tern uses BYRD's SLIPIT mechanism, a non-locking design in which a notched joint and spring pressure help hold the blade open during use. This is different from a conventional locking folding knife, so the blade can still close under sufficient pressure. A reversible wire pocket clip supports tip-up carry on either the left or right side, making it adaptable to different carry preferences.
